How document transcription works
Document transcription is priced per page rather than per minute, because the work scales with pages rather than time. At $2.50 per page it covers scanned records, typed pages, filled paper forms, and handwriting.
Optical character recognition handles clean typed text reasonably well on its own. It handles handwriting, faded carbon copies, annotated margins, and completed forms far less reliably - which is why human verification is recommended for this material: a person checks the output against the source image before delivery. It can be switched off per upload, and the document records which mode produced it.
Output is returned as editable text, so a filing cabinet of paper records becomes something you can search, and a stack of handwritten intake forms becomes structured data rather than a scanning backlog.

Yes, and this is where human review earns its cost. OCR alone is unreliable on handwriting, faded copies, and margin annotations - the reviewer works from the source image rather than trusting the machine output.
What file formats can I send?
